This device precisely manipulates incoming photons to form 3D images in a close proximity. The images are limited to a small size, no larger than a 500mm cube, and cannot extend beyond the space the user occupies. 

Often used commercially by socialites to project make-up or tattoos, or by street hustlers to perform simple magic tricks. Crafty Splicers are able to utilise this tech to gain the upperhand in a confrontation, perhaps by forming a weapon in their hand, if they’re ever caught unarmed, or forging a security badge to sneak into a secure facility.
